Indian Summer

Well, the County has posted the first of two Leaf Collection Notices.  They will be driving through the neighborhood the week of November 6th to vacuum up any leaves that get blown or raked to the curb.  I believe they mulch them up and add to the free mulch at the County dump.

This week has been warm, and yesterday’s temperature tied the record high for the day. Beautiful!

The Elephant Ear will need to be dug up before the next hard frost.  It will be trimmed back to just a root ball and packed into a box then stored in the basement until next Spring.

I’m guessing the yard will have to be mowed one more time for the season.  But it may need another ‘mowing’ to mulch up the leaves that don’t get picked up by the County.

I do really like the Four Seasons we have – The long days of Summer (ok, some of them get way too hot), the beautiful colors of the Spring & Fall, and even the snow in the Winter (as long as it isn’t a blizzard!).
