Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 9–Blog Tour Day #3

Wednesday is Day #3 of the Blog Tour featuring Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 9 to be released May 6th and we are more than halfway through! Join me and the Quilty Pleasures Blog as we get a sneak-peak of some of the blocks. Friend Quiltmaker Magazine on Facebook and you can see these and other blocks.    QMMS-140044-cover_200

Today the Blog Tour features pictures of 3 Blocks and shares links to the Blogs of several of the Block Designers. Click on the Designers to visit their Blog to hear them tell about their Block & thoughts behind the design. Many Blogs will give you a chance to comment and win a copy of Volume #9 or other great prizes.

Please follow the instructions on their posts to be entered in their giveaways.

My Tested Blocks

My group tested 13 of the 100 Blocks and I had a chance to test 2 additional blocks. We randomly received patterns and didn’t know (and had no choice) as to which techniques we would be testing. All Blocks finish to 12” square (12-1/2” unfinished).

Unfortunately, I didn’t test any of the blocks from the ten designers listed above or the 3 blocks that were highlighted in the Quilty Pleasure’s Blog.  So, I cannot show you any of the blocks I made.  But, I promise, I will get to show you all of my blocks.  Those not highlighted in the Blog Tour, will be shown Monday.

There are more blocks to share, but for now, go check out the Featured Designers. Maybe you’ll find a block you might want to make! Sign up on their Blogs and you may win a copy of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Volume #9.

Join me tomorrow and I’ll share more of the blocks I’ve made.

My favorite hobby is quilting. Such rewards when the quilts are finished.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I enjoy quilting, and though I probably have more UFO’s than finished quilts, I agree with you. There is a warm feeling when a quilt is finished.
