Pattern Testing–Fabric Café–Modern Views Part 2

Day #2 vending at the 2016 PA National Quilt Extravaganza has ended.  Two more days to check out all the quilts and vendors.

It was a busy day and lots of 3-yard bundles found new homes.  The booth is closed and we headed out to dinner.

At the end of Day #1, Val, a representative for INNOVA (Innovative Quilting Systems) popped in and bought some 3-yard bundles and other goodies from Fabric Café.  The next morning Val’s friend, Jill Churchill, greeted us. She wanted to share what she had done.

She told us that she didn’t have any dinner plans, and although she had some other sewing to do, she thought that making one of the 3-Yard Bundles would be more fun.  While watching TV, she took one of the 3-yard bundles that Val had purchased and a pattern.  Three hours later she had a quilt top finished.

Here is Jill, with her completed top made using the Corner Play Pattern and some pretty pink & green fabric.

Now we return to our Modern Views with 3-Yard Quilts.

Here is another quilt top I made last Spring.  The Pattern is Jacob’s Ladder.

Jacobs Ladder Finished Top

This is made with beautiful Jewel-tone Batiks contrasted with black.

Beautiful Pink & Teal (or would you call this Turquoise?)

Another top made. Don’t you just love the circular effect the blocks make!

Chain Reaction

This pattern is called Chain Reaction and consists of only two blocks made in two color-ways each.

And this one is made with Greenish-Gold, White and Purple.

Stay tuned for more on the Quilt Show and the new patterns in Modern View with 3-Yard Quilts.

Happy Stitching!

  1. She is such a fast little quilter! Love your Jacob’s Ladder in batiks. Chain Reaction is really nice too. I would call it turquoise.
