Mystery Quilt Challenge Progress–Gracie’s Get Well Garden–Week #4

Can you say we’re having fun? Well I can! It’s not too late to join us in making this Mystery Quilt. If you register now, you can download all the clues to date.  If you don’t have time to sew it right now, you can save the clues to work on later.

The hardest part of this project is choosing the fabric.  I’m making it out of my scraps. I have lots of scraps.

Take this week’s clue. It only called for two colors plus the background fabric, which I’m using white.

I spent one day pulling out my fabrics and half of today trying to choose which ones to use!

Yellow scraps

I didn’t know I had so many yellows! I found several that I wanted to use, so I may make another one.

I took the picture of the fabrics and displayed it on my computer screen while I ate lunch. Afterwards, I went back to my sewing room, grabbed two fabrics and got started.

Here’s my finished block Week #4.

Clue #4

This block matches the pretty flowers I got this past weekend.

Week #3’s blocks were simple – only one color. All I needed was some red scraps and some white background fabric.

Heart Blocks

It may be Fall, but nearly 950 quilters are working on Gracie’s Get Well Garden.  Check out some of the fun on the Facebook page.

Happy Stitching!
