Yesterday was the beginning of the Fall 2016 Blog Tour to celebrate the release of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Volume 14.
Once again, I was part of the group of quilters that tested these blocks before publication. We began in April and the last block was finished in September.
My group tested 13 blocks, but I actually tested 14 blocks. During the time that we are testing we cannot share what we’ve made. But now, during the blog tour and the release of Volume 14, I get to show you what I’ve done!!
Two blocks were previewed on yesterday’s Quiltmaker’s Blog. I tested one.
Designer: Rebecca LoGiudice – Block #1346 – Cottage Blossoms (Mixed Pieced & Appliqué)
This is the block that I made. You can see the block that Rebecca made on the Quilty Pleasures Blog post for November 14th.

I tested the block created by one of the Blog Tour featured designers.
Designer: Kathy Patterson – Block #1392 – Chicken Foot (Hand pieced Y-seams)
This is the block I made and it was hand-pieced. While this is not an original block, Kathy enlarged it to the 12” (Finished) size which matches the size of all the other blocks in the Quiltmaker’s 100 Block series. She shares that this block is a traditional block that is not common and is her mother’s most favorite block. Read more on her blog and leave a comment on her blog to enter her giveaway.
