I got back from my week in the mountains just in time. An early November Nor’Easter hit leaving snow, sleet, ice and loss of power along the Atlantic states. I spoke with Spirit Wind Ministry Center and they were without power Thursday thru Friday, and my friend who organized the Retreat is STILL without power. At home, we had about an inch or so of snow along with the rain/sleet/freezing rain mix.

Early November 2018 Nor’Easter. First measurable snow of Winter 2018.
I had PT two days, saw the surgeon another day and had a dental appointment. My knee has progressed and my range of motion is nearly where we’d like it. Now to work on balance and strength. There is still some sensitivity and discomfort, but I can say it’s so much better now.
2018 Ultra-Mary-Thon Progress – Since July, I’ve finished 19 weeks with 3-5 days of 30 minutes or more of activity (PT/Exercise Bike/Treadmill/Walking). For the entire year, I have participated in 3 additional Challenges which required 26 days of at least a mile per day. The fourth & final Challenge, “Mary’s Mile,” will begin November 23, the day after Thanksgiving. The Challenge is to do at least one mile a day for 26 out of 30 days. It’s not too late to sign up and join in. The Challenge is open to anyone, not just the Mary-thon participants. Click Here for more details and to register. Remember a portion of the registration fee supports Project Linus.
Sewing/Quilting Update – One thing that takes time once I return from a Quilting Retreat is putting my sewing room back together and storing “travel only” supplies. So, much of my spare time this week has been doing that. In addition, I’ve done some sorting & shifting through fabric and UFOs (Unfinished Objects). I’ve browsed through patterns and Christmas fabrics and planned some sewing/quilting to be done before Christmas. I won’t be able to share pictures of these projects until after the 25th.
This coming week will be busy, too. Two days of PT plus shopping & cooking for Thursday’s Thanksgiving meal. But I do plan on getting some sewing done; after all it is only 37 days to Christmas!!
Hope you will be getting some stitching done this week!
Happy Stitching & Moving!

Just now getting to read this one since we did not have electricity for 8 days and had to pay a big chunk to hire electrical for exterior. Stressful week….
Did you find tires for a decent price?
