Wow! January is barely a week old and I can say I’ve finished with my January OMG! OK, I’ll admit I’m keeping it simple, and if it seems like I’m having a good year, I’ll add to my Monthly Goal.
So, without further ado, here it is!!

I try to organize my stitching. Recycling a packing box Styrofoam board, I label each section of the block and make sure I have all the pieces grouped together. I forgot to get the first picture, but as I stitch the sections of the block I keep them organized. It also helps prevent small pieces from getting lost or misplaced.

And, of course it never goes smoothly. I did have to do some “Froggin” (you know, Rip-it, Rip-it) when I attached the cake platter to the wrong side of the pedestal.

Maybe next month, I’ll do one block from the 2018 Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge and one block from the 2017 Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge. I’m missing the last 5 blocks from 2017, so that would be something else to add to my OMG.
Hope you are getting some stitching done.
Congratulations on a beautiful quilted cake. It is perfect and looks perfectly fun to make.
