Last week we had the 2nd snow of 2018-2019 Winter. The first was in November, so that technically wasn’t winter. This storm was categorized as a “Major Storm.” Snow fell Saturday – Sunday and resulted in closed schools and businesses on Monday. We got just under 12 inches of snow. Great sewing weather!!

The past couple of weeks have been busy. I’ve gotten back to working with Donna at Fabric Café and making tops for her booth at quilt shows. She’s got some very special fabric and I can’t wait to share it with you. Last week I was able to make 2 tops with this new line of fabric. We’re also working on a new book of 8 patterns. All will be revealed in time! 😉
I’m still working on cleaning and organizing my sewing space. What it really needs is some different furniture and lots of storage containers, but that’s not happening anytime soon. So I’m taking a spot and working on it, then moving on. I’ve cleared some space by moving a few piles to the dining room table. I’m finding some fabric, and still haven’t found other fabric. I think I need a whole other room just to organize my projects, both partially done and yet to be started!
My OMG (One Monthly Goal) is to work on the 2018 Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge. Keeping it simple I’m doing one block a month. I shared in my post Here that I got the block done for January, so I decided to also do a block for the 2017 Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge.

I was doing well in 2017 and only have 5 more blocks, sashing & borders. But I was making 2 quilts, and then life got in the way. So this week I pulled out the pattern and started working on an appliqued Koala Bear. Once I unbury my sewing machine I’ll machine stitch it.
Of course, I really don’t have enough to do (Ha! Ha! Ha!), so I joined the Hand Piece – Quilt Along. The first block was released Monday – a 16-patch made by creating four 4-patch blocks. It’s not too late to join, if you’d like. Check out on Patty’s blog. I’ll share my block on their weekly Link-up Party on Thursday.
No more sewing for the next 3 days. I’ll be having Play-Dates with a 17-month old neighbor. I know I’ll come home exhausted!!
Also, linking up with Sew Fresh Quilts’ Wednesday “Let’s Bee Social” Link up Party.
Great block – thanks for joining the QAL link-up!

Love your block, and your blog! I lost all the blogs I follow from my blog, so I’m making new list, and you’re the first!
