We took a quick overnight trip to Pennsylvania with two objectives: First to give my Bernina a Spa Day, Second to pop into the Pennsylvania Quilt Expo.
I’ve been having some issues with thread breaking, skipping stitches and bobbin misbehaving, and it’s been a year, so wanted my Bernina checked out. I called ahead and made an appointment so we could drop it off while visiting the Quilt Show.

Friday we arrived as they opened and dropped off my machine. Often we head out shopping, and my machine is finished in a few hours. So after a lunch we pick it up the same day & head home. But since there is a quilt show to attend and we were planning to spend the night, we picked it up before we headed home on Saturday.

We got to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center just as the doors opened. We went directly to Booth 309 to visit with the Fabric Cafe group. After touching base with them we did a walk through all the vendors. We met Kathy of Machine Lady, and checked out her Singer Featherweights. So pretty! We had lost our contact for vintage Singer machines and are glad to have met Kathy.

Friday night we all went to dinner & had a great visit with Donna, Robert & Joyce. It was nice to have a short getaway & visit with friends we hadn’t seen in over a year.
After some (additional) retail therapy – fabric shopping at Weaver’s Dry Goods in Litiz, PA, we headed home.

After we got home (and rested a bit), I did a bit more Stage #2B Fabric folding. My sewing machine is back in place & ready for some serious stitching. Today I’m making the blocks from Clue #1 of 2019 Project Linus Mystery Challenge QAL.
Hope you are getting something fun done, too!
Happy Stitching!
