It’s hard to believe August is here. Some times during the past months it’s been hard to tell what day or day of the week it is, let alone what month it is. July has broken the record for the greatest number of days in a month with high temperatures over 90-degrees.
My sewing/quilting mojo has been coming & going. Some days I’m more inspired than others. Making masks & surgical caps have taken up a lot of my time during the past several months, but have also been doing some sewing & crocheting for our new grandson who was born in June. More on those projects in a later post.

This will be the 5th Quilt Along (QAL) from Project Linus that I will be following. In full disclosure, I have only completed 2 of them, and 2 others have the tops nearly completed but I’m making two of one (making a total of 3 Project Linus UFOs). I have the pattern for the first one that I missed, but haven’t started it.

The patterns for the earlier Mystery QALs are available in the Project Linus Shop.
- Lukey the Lucky Penguin
- Gracie’s Get Well Garden
- Exploring the World with Ethan
- Sweet Violet’s Bakery and Confectionery
- Logey Bear Leads the Way
The funds from the annual Mystery QAL & sale of the past patterns help to support the on-going work of the national & local chapters of Project Linus. CLICK here to read more about this organization that shares love with children.
Check it out. If you plan on joining in on the fun, mark your calendar & sign up when registration opens later this month. You can also follow along on the Project Linus Mystery Challenge Facebook page. The clues will be released for seven Saturdays beginning in late September and ending in early November.
Hope you are getting some creative projects done.
