The 2021 Project Linus Mystery QAL Challenge fund raising contest winners will be announced next Saturday. There is still time to contribute. Each vote is a donation to Project Linus in support of their mission to provide comfort to children experiencing medical or emotional trauma (read about it here) . I’m sharing a bit about my progress making my Lucy’s Love Notes Quilt.
Clue #3 ‐ 8 Sunrise/Sunset Blocks – This was a paper pieced block. It is a perfect paper piecing block for a beginner. I’m not sure if my blocks are either a sunrise or sunset, but I loved the variation of colors.
Clue #4 ‐ 4 Flower Blocks – This was also a paper pieced block. It wasn’t too difficult for a beginner, and was a great one to practice a technique I do not do very often.
That’s right. we only needed 4 flower blocks, but I was having so much fun and couldn’t decide on colors, so I made 5 blocks.
So after four weeks, we had 4 Heart Units, 8 Envelope Units, 8 Sunrise/Sunset Blocks & 4 Flower Blocks. Still a mystery how they will go together. That’s the third & fourth weeks done of the Project Linus 2020 Mystery QAL Challenge.
We didn’t get much snow, but there is more in the forecast so I see sewing in my future. Because of the weather this week, I had a Zoom Stitching afternoon with one of my Hand Stitching Group. It was fun to visit over Zoom while working on our individual projects and share our progress.
Happy Stitching!
