This is week 8 working on my Five Current Projects I continue to be making progress. This week I’ve had some additional work under my needle. See my post about all my current projects – Click Here. So here’s my progress to date on Project 2 – Quilt of Valor Mystery Quilt Along – A12 – Inspired by Dakota.
Project #2 – Quilt of Valor #A-12/Mystery QAL (Large Throw Size Quilt)
This Mystery is divided into weekly steps that don’t take much time at all. Including cutting, ironing, and stitching, the clues haven’t taken much more than an hour or two. I really like making progress!!!
Clue 4 was released March 24th. This required more Half Square Triangles. (light blue)
Then the next clue, the blocks began to be assembled. This clue created a set of Churn Dash Blocks using the light blue.
It’s exciting to see all the pieces begin to take form. Another set of Churn Dash Blocks, this time using the red HSTs. Do you notice the difference it makes by flipping the focus fabric.
There is more fabric left. We’ve used the Red, Light Blue & Cream/Background fabrics, but haven’t used any of the Dark Blue. Clue 7 will be released today. I’m thinking we’re getting close to having this quilt top finished.
If you are interested in making this pattern, the clues will be available for a bit longer on Alycia’s Blog – Alycia Quilts/Quilty Girl.
I’m definitely keeping busy this week but making progress.
We’ve had a couple of very nice, sunny days and a couple of cloudy, rainy days. I got a couple garden pictures, Each season brings something new.
Hope you are making progress on whatever you are stitching this week!
Happy Stitching!
Quilt Mouse
Since I didn’t read blog posts for 6 weeks, I missed getting the clues for this one from Alycia. Oh well, I don’t have time anyways. I do love churn dash blocks.
