The name of this wall hanging/table topper is Snowmen & Silent Night. This project is not a mystery, but the patterns for the blocks & finishing are being released individually on Mondays for 5 weeks. It is sponsored by Jacquelynne Steves on her website The Art of Home and is the second of the four projects I plan to work on this Fall.
This pattern is a free QAL, but you must sign up to receive the clues by email. Once this is over the pattern will no longer be available. Click Here if you would like to join me.
I’m using fabrics from my stash, except for the blue. One quilter has mention making 3 of each block to make a throw. It looks like I may have enough fabric to make a throw also. We’ll see how it goes.
I forgot to take pictures of my progress, but here is the finished block.
Well, I’m pleased! Week #1 Block is finished for my Fall 2021 Current Project #2. It took me a couple of days only because I hadn’t found a fabric to go into the center of the blocks. The design calls for embroidered snowmen. It’s been a while since I did much hand embroidery and didn’t want to take the extra time it would require.
I’m keeping very busy this week. Monday I received a package from Fabric Cafe, so I am also working on some quilt tops/samples, plus my Current Projects #1 & #2 as well as quilting a quilt on my domestic machine. As a typical multi-tasker, I just pulled out my smaller machine and a folding table to do the piecing while still quilting on my other machine.
Quilt-a-Little, Stitch-a-Little, Quilt-a-Little, Stitch-a-little, Cheep, Cheep, Cheep, Stitch-a-Lot, Quilt a Little More. (to the tune of a song from the movie The Music Man.
Tomorrow’s another day of stitching!
