I’m so excited about my progress. This is the second Fall 2021 Current Project to begin. This week is Week #2 and we have 2 more blocks and then the finishing instructions. This wall hanging/table topper is Snowmen & Silent Night. Unlike some other Quilt Alongs, this project is not a mystery. Jacquelynne Steves is sharing this project via email. You can check out her website The Art of Home.

I’m pleased that I’ve managed to get the Blocks for both my Fall 2021 Current Projects #1 & #2 completed before the next step is released. The Blocks for this Christmas wall hanging are quick to stitch up. It’s good to have a project that goes together quickly.
I remembered to take a few pictures of my progress. After I cut the fabric needed for this block, I placed the pieces on my Design Board and grouped them by how they will be stitched.
I took the Design Board to my Sewing Machine and stitched into units. The Flying Geese will be stitched to the Red & Green unit.
A bit more stitching and it was ready to assemble. Now I have a finished Block!
I did make one design change. Because my center block is Red, I chose to flip the Red and Green rectangles. The pattern had the Red rectangle next to the center block, which in the pattern is White. I was a bit slow making this week’s block. Monday I spent the day doing computer work, and then Tuesday I donated Blood and did my grocery shopping.
I have another block for another project cut and ready to stitch. Tomorrow’s another day of stitching!
Lovely for Christmas!
