Welcome to Autumn, Autumn Jubilee 2021, that is. This is the 6th year that Carole has hosted a month long blog activity with a variety of projects and prizes. Read her post Here to learn about the many activities she has in store and the wonderful sponsors that will be providing prizes.
Some bloggers only blog about one or two subjects like food/recipes, sewing/quilting or maybe travel. Carole shares her enthusiasm for a lot of different topics. I enjoy reading about the various projects, but I make it a point to follow the quilting and so I added it to my Fall 2021 Current Project list.
Autumn Jubilee runs for the entire month of October. This year the quilt along began on Friday, October 1st with the release of the fabric requirements for a fall-themed table topper (or it could be a wall hanging). This isn’t a mystery, but she will post steps throughout the month. Click Here to see her table topper.
Step #1 – Collect your Scraps and cut up as noted in the Fabric Requirements. Carole posted some color variations and alternative blocks on her post Here. She also provides a downloadable PDF with the Fabric Requirements.
Some people really have their scraps organized. I’ve started but then always get distracted by other projects – you know, best intentions. One day I will get it organized, but until then I am planning on using my stash and what scraps I can dig out. It does seem that I appear to like fall colors. I have a lot of them in my stash, except I seem to need more greens & burgundy.
Leaves have not begun to change around here, but the nighttime temperatures are beginning to drop. I imagine we will be seeing some leaves turn and begin to fall soon.
Hope you get some time to stitch this week.
So fun, love your binder for Autumn Jubilee projects! Thank you for sharing the event.
