After nearly 8 weeks working on my Five Current Projects I continue to be making progress. This week I’m trying to catch up blogging about my progress. I also have some additional work under my needle. See my post about all my current projects – Click Here. So here’s my current progress on my Project 5 – My Hometown BOM.
Project #5 – 2021 My Hometown BOM (63″ Square Quilt)
Block 3 is finished & Block 4 won’t be released until next month so no work is needed. A Block of the Month (BOM) has only one Block released per month, so it’s pretty easy to keep up with it unless you forget to work on it.
This is not a mystery, we know what it will look like. The pattern has two models on it, one Spring colors and the other Summer, but I chose to go with an Autumn theme. Here are the first 3 blocks. We have two more Blocks – they will be set on point, but will have sashing between them.
Other Sewing Accomplished –
I did a couple of quickie projects. It’s nice to have some things actually finished.
Miscellaneous Sewing –
I got two Spring themed pillowcases made,
I also stitched up a cute Tool Caddy for the sewing supplies I use near my Sewing Machine. I got the pattern off the Internet. You can find the pattern/tutorial Here.
While waiting for the Fabric Cafe package to arrive I pulled out some scraps and made a couple drawstring bags and 2 stuffed toys. I still need to hand stitch the opening used to insert the stuffing.
Fabric Cafe Tops:
Wednesday, I got a package from Fabric Cafe – More sample tops to make. Yesterday I completed one Top, plus made the blocks and almost finished creating the rows for Top #2. You will really love these! I’ll write a post about them soon.
My week is busy, but I feel good about the progress I’m making.
Hope you are making progress on whatever you are stitching this week!
Happy Stitching!
Quilt Mouse
One of these days I need to figure out how to make drawstring bags.
