I’m soooo excited!! Project Linus’ 4th Annual Mystery Quilt Challenge is about to begin. The first clue will be released next Saturday (9/15). There is still time to register and join in the fun. This is a fund-raising project for Project Linus. For the nominal fee of $15, a donation to support Project Linus, you will get weekly Pattern Clues. The first clue will be released Saturday, 9/15 and end with the “Big Reveal” on Saturday, 11/10. If you manage to complete your quilt in time you will be eligible to enter it into voting for the favorite quilt, also a fund-raiser.
In addition to the weekly clues, instructional videos will be available for each step of the quilt. These are quite helpful for visual learners like me! I’ve made Gracie’s Get Well Garden (2016) and most of Exploring the World with Ethan (2017). I found that the pattern & instructions are well written & demonstrated and easy to follow. I would recommend this for any level of quilter from beginner to advanced. I made Gracie’s mostly out of scraps from my stash.

My Gracie’s Get Well Garden – Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge 2016
Last year life got complicated, and although I have most of the blocks for Ethan’s quilt, I still have 2 or 3 which require applique (ok, not my favorite part of quilting). They are hanging in my sewing room just waiting for the spirit to move me. Well, I guess I needed another UFO, right?

Blocks # 1-8 (first set) – Exploring the World with Ethan – 2017 Project Linus Mystery Quilt Challenge
I’ve signed up again this year and hope to get the first two blocks made, but will have to download & save the rest as I will be otherwise occupied after 9/25 for several weeks. Won’t you join me in supporting this charitable group and get a fun children’s quilt.
Happy Stitching & Moving!
